Helping Keep Pets And Their People Together

On Saturday, July 26, the Evervet East Melbourne hospital proudly hosted a special desexing day in partnership with the charity Pets of the Homeless.

Our dedicated vets, nurses and reception team volunteered their time and expertise to provide essential care for pets belonging to people experiencing homelessness, performing ten desexing procedures for dogs and cats in need.

With the generous support of industry partners Provet and Boehringer Ingelheim, who contributed medications and surgical supplies, the team worked tirelessly to ensure every pet received the same exceptional level of care that Evervet patients experience every day.

The gratitude expressed by many of the pet owners who participated was deeply rewarding and served as a reminder of the impact veterinary care has on pet families, especially those that are vulnerable.
